This month’s piece is titled “a walk through snow and dreams of other lands.”
There was a historic snowfall in the Deep South three weeks ago. The day after the snow fell I recorded my footsteps through the snow and the sound of the melting snow dripping off of the roof onto the walkway.
The audio of footsteps can be heard almost halfway through the piece. I then put the audio of the dripping snow into my synth and proceeded to mangle it into the tinkly bit of sound design heard in the second half of the song. These were added to a synth pad and bass.

I loved this piece! The midrange drone evolved nicely at a lovely slow pace and the field recording and little audio artifacts were a nice touch, too.
Say, I curate an ambient music program called The Relay Station (presently on YouTube and slowly migrating here to Substack) — I would love to include your music in our lineup if you're interested. Nice to find (and follow) you here on Substack!
