This month’s song is titled When You’re With Me.
When You’re With Me begins with a synth drone, providing a steady foundation as the bass. More synths fade in to support the rhythm and melody of the piano with additional harmonies, while in the third section of the piece a celeste doubles the melody to add an airy, shimmering character.
When You’re With Me is a companion piece to last month’s song, Forever Isn’t Too Long. . . . As I finished mastering When You’re With Me I realized that it is the same length as its companion, four minutes and six seconds. It’s funny how things work out like that.
