This month’s song is titled The Shore.
The Shore is a simple piece, featuring only a piano, guitar, and synth. It is in the key of A and follows the classic AABA form. The piano and guitar are run through a delay and large reverb.
The piano melody was the first part of this song I wrote. Except I didn’t compose it on the piano, but the guitar. I feel composing the song this way; where I wrote it on one instrument, but performed it on another; gives it a fresh feeling and sound compared to my previous releases. It’ll be fun to try this again in the future if I need some inspiration when writing.
