This month’s song is titled A Portrait of Sound.
A Portrait of Sound is a moody little piece with a rolling rhythm and falling melodic line from the piano. Synths provide harmonies as well as little notes of interest throughout. A string section also supports the piano part way through.
A Portrait of Sound began as part of an album that is unfortunately no more. The album was to be eight songs, but at least half of the songs have been abandoned to be scrapped for parts for future songs.
I’ve learned to never delete or throw away of my musical ideas. All of those ideas that have needed to be written and recorded, but end up stalling out, can always be incorporated into another song or expanded upon later. It just might not be that idea’s time yet. Sometimes inspiration takes its time, and that one idea from two years ago may just be the part I am looking for.
Luna, last month’s song, is available for streaming and purchasing everywhere today. A Portrait of Sound will be released everywhere on June 16.

Thank you for reading and listening. If you would like to read more here is a link to my previous article and song, Luna.
Great song. I like the way it almost puts you in a meditative state as it all flows. Reminds me of walking through a meadow, just enjoying the day.
